I created this art piece based on the statue that exists in Brooklyn of Jackie Robinson and Pee Wee Reese of the Brooklyn Dodgers. It was a pivotal moment in American History as Jackie and Pee Wee display their friendship in front of a racist, hostile crowd. I wanted to represent togetherness and friendship. The title comes from Mr. Robinson's quote, "A life if not important except in the impact it has on other lives."
